A licensed, small-group psilocybin experience for men. Held in Colorado under the state’s Natural Medicine Health Act. Co-facilitated by Jim Kemp, PsyD, David Raniere, PhD, and Adam O’Neil, PhD.

What Is the Men’s Medicine Circle?
The Men’s Medicine Circle is a carefully held, full-day group psilocybin journey designed specifically for men who are ready to go deeper. Not deeper into analysis or strategy, but deeper into themselves. Into the places that talk therapy sometimes can’t reach. Into the parts that have been armored over, set aside, or simply never had the space to breathe.
This is not a retreat. It is not underground. It is a fully licensed, regulated experience held within a relational, attachment-informed container by three licensed psychologists with extensive training in psychedelic-assisted care.
Done right. Done legally. And rooted in something older than both — the simple, ancient power of men showing up for each other.
Who Is This For?
The Men’s Medicine Circle is designed for men who:
- Have done some inner work and feel ready to go further
- Are psychologically stable and motivated for growth
- Carry emotional armor, relational disconnection, or a sense of being stuck that talk therapy alone hasn’t been able to shift
- Are curious about non-ordinary states and want a safe, clinically held container to explore them
- Are navigating a meaningful life transition and feel called to something deeper
This experience is not appropriate for men who are currently in psychological crisis, on contraindicated medications, or have a personal or family history of psychosis or schizophrenia. We screen all participants carefully during the preparation process.
What Does the Experience Include?
The Men’s Medicine Circle is not just a single day. It is a full arc of care from first contact through integration.
Individual Preparation Sessions
Before the group journey, each participant meets individually with one of the facilitators for at least two preparation sessions. This is where we get to know you, understand your intentions, address any concerns, and make sure you are well-prepared for what lies ahead.
Group Preparation Meeting
The week before journey day, all participants and facilitators gather online to meet one another, establish group agreements, and begin building the relational container that will hold us on journey day.
Journey Day
A full day at our healing center in Boulder, Colorado. We open with ceremony, set intentions, and then each man journeys individually and inwardly while held within the group field. Facilitators are present throughout. The day closes with a sharing circle and initial integration.
Integration Circle
The morning after journey day, we gather in person for a two-hour integration circle. Each man has space to share what he was shown and begin naming what he is bringing home.
Ongoing Integration Support
Additional individual and group integration sessions are available in the weeks and months that follow. Integration is where the real work often takes root, and we are here for that process.
Pricing
We use a sliding scale model rooted in the belief that healing should be accessible regardless of financial circumstance. Our standard rate is $2,850 per participant and reflects the full value of the preparation, journey day, and integration arc provided by three licensed facilitators.
We offer three tiers based on your current financial circumstances:
- Redistribution Rate (Standard): $2,850 — for those with financial stability who can pay the full cost. Your investment at this level helps support access for others.
- Sustaining Rate: Up to 20% reduction — for those with some financial constraints
- Solidarity Rate: Up to 40% reduction — for those facing significant financial challenges
Further reductions are available on a case-by-case basis. We approach all financial conversations with complete confidentiality and without judgment. Please reach out to discuss what works for your situation.
Returning participants are offered a special alumni rate. Contact us directly to learn more.
A $500 deposit by check to The Clearing secures your spot and is applied toward your total.

Pricing and Financial Access
For the Men’s Medicine Circle we use an adaptive pricing structure rooted in the belief that healing should be accessible regardless of financial circumstance.
We believe everyone deserves access to healing, regardless of financial circumstance. Our adaptive pricing structure is designed to make the Men’s Medicine Circle as accessible as possible while ensuring the work remains sustainable and the quality of care remains uncompromised.
How We Determine Your Rate
We use a self-assessment framework adapted from the Anti-Oppression Resource and Training Alliance (AORTA) to help you identify which pricing tier reflects your current circumstances. This is not a means test. It is an honest self-reflection that honors both your financial reality and your role in supporting community access to this work.
Answer the following questions. Each “yes” represents access to financial stability or privilege.
- Are you or your family homeowners or landowners?
- Have you attended private educational institutions or earned an advanced degree?
- Can you comfortably make minimum payments on regular bills and credit cards?
- Have you been able to easily access and afford health insurance for yourself and your family?
- Do you have little to no debt and/or disposable income for non-essentials?
- Do you have a financial safety net of stable or wealthy family and friends?
- Do you hold U.S. citizenship?
- Does your income support only yourself rather than extended family or dependents?
- Have you inherited money or property, or do you expect to?
- Have you attended or could you have afforded college and/or graduate school?
Pricing Tiers
7 or more yes answers — Redistribution Rate (Standard): $2,850
You have moderate to significant financial stability. Your investment at this level covers the true cost of the experience and directly helps support access for others in the community.
4 to 6 yes answers — Sustaining Rate: up to 20% reduction
You have some financial stability but face real economic constraints. This rate keeps the experience accessible while supporting the sustainability of the program.
1 to 3 yes answers — Solidarity Rate: up to 40% reduction
You face significant financial challenges or economic marginalization. This rate ensures the experience remains within reach despite those barriers.
0 yes answers — Community Care Rate: up to 60% reduction
You experience substantial economic hardship or systemic marginalization. This deeply reduced rate removes as many financial barriers as possible.
Additional Financial Assistance
If none of the above tiers feel workable, there are additional resources worth exploring.
The Sheri Eckert Foundation’s Psilocybin Access Fund provides financial support for those who cannot afford psilocybin therapy. Though designed for Oregon’s framework, they are worth contacting regarding Colorado-based services.
The Forward Fund connects those seeking healing with financial support through a confidential process that preserves privacy and dignity.
For veterans, grant and scholarship options are available through Veterans Exploring Treatment Solutions (VETS) and the Heroic Hearts Project.
We also periodically open a limited number of community spaces in our group circles for individuals who face significant financial barriers. If you would like to be considered for a future community space, please reach out, and we will add you to our list.
Next Steps
After completing this self-assessment, reach out to us to discuss your tier and take the next step. All financial conversations are handled with complete confidentiality, care, and respect. Our only goal is to make sure you receive the support you need in a way that works for your life.
